Adding Custom fields to your document headers can help give your clients more context and you can do that easily and quickly with Refrens!

Let’s see how!

Firstly, go to invoices and create a new invoice.

As you see here, three fields- Invoice number, Invoice date, and the due date are auto-populated. Although these basic details are generally enough for most businesses, your business may require you to add more details to your invoices or quotations. Our custom fields feature helps you with exactly that!

As you can see here, below the due date field, you will see a plus icon called “Add More Fields”.

Clicking on “Add More Fields” will automatically add a new field with a temporary default name.

If you are a creator, and you’re selling subscriptions, you may also want to mention the subscription start and end date in the invoice. You can do that by simply typing the subscription start date in place of the Field Name, and adding the start date to the Field Value.

And if you are an agency or a business with a large client base, you might want to give each of your clients a unique ID. You can do that by simply typing Client ID in the Field name and the ID no. in the Field value.

According to your needs, you can continue adding more fields like Order No, Order Date, etc. to your invoice by simply clicking on the “Add More Fields” icon.

Now Let me show you a cool thing that Refrens does for you. Let’s create another invoice.

Do you see the magic here? Refrens has remembered the custom fields that we had created earlier and has added those fields as my default suggested fields. Pretty cool and convenient, isn’t it?
