Whether you're transitioning from another system or simply want to update your client database in bulk, the "Bulk Upload" feature helps you do it seamlessly.

To upload Clients in bulk, go to Clients & Vendors > Clients & Prospects > Click on the "Add Client" Dropdown > Click "Upload Clients":

You will see the following form open up:

To ensure that you are following the right format, first download the sample file. It will look something like this:

Just remove the sample data, and add the client data you want to upload under the respective columns. Just keep the following things in mind:


Things to take care of:

1) Phone number format

Phone numbers are not mandatory to add, but if you are adding a phone number that contains a plus sign in the beginning, Add an apostrophe (’) at the start to avoid any errors. 
 

2) Country Code

Please use country code only. For example, IN for India. (detailed list of country codes is given at the end of this article.) 

3) Currency

In case you are adding the opening balance as well add the respective currency code depending on the client's country. For example, INR for Indian Rupees (a detailed list of country codes is given at the end of this article.) 

4) File format

Only CSV files are supported for bulk upload.

Uploading CSV

Once you have added all the data in the CSV, click "Upload File".

In case you made an error, the system will give you an error report.

Download the error report to see what errors are there in your CSV file. Re-upload the file after rectifying the errors. contact support if you require any help.

If your CSV file does not have any errors, you will see the following modal: 

That's it! your bulk upload is done. Do keep in mind that the clients you upload will take several minutes to reflect in the system. So unless you receive an error message while uploading, do not re-upload the CSV file again. 

After a few minutes, you will be able to view the uploaded clients in your dashboard. You will also receive a confirmation email once this process is complete.
