There are two ways you can request testimonials from your clients:
1. Automatically collect testimonials every time you record a payment
2. Request testimonials manually from the “Manage Testimonial” section
Let’s see how,
Before starting, ensure that your Refrens Business Profile is set to public, as clients won’t be able to submit their testimonials if your profile is private. (Learn how to set a business profile as public/private)
Request Testimonials Automatically
Go to Business Settings > Email Configurations > Email & Notifications and turn on the “Testimonial Email” toggle:
Once enabled, Refrens will automatically send a testimonial request to your clients via email every time you record a payment against an invoice.
For example, here I am recording a payment against one of my clients’ invoices:
Once the payment is recorded, the client will automatically receive a testimonial request email as shown below:
When the client clicks on the “Give A Testimonial” button, they’ll be redirected to a feedback form where they can easily share their testimonial/review.
Once the review is submitted, it will be visible on your Refrens account under Profile > Manage Testimonials:
If you want to show this testimonial on your business profile, simply turn on the ‘Show in Profile’ toggle.

Request Testimonials Manually
If you want to manually request a testimonial from a particular client, you can do that from Profile > Manage Testimonials > Request a Testimonial:
Once you click on “Request a testimonial”, a pop-up will appear:
When you select the client name from the dropdown menu, the system will auto-fill the client's name and email (which you can edit if needed).
Once done, click ‘Send Request’ and the client will receive a testimonial request via email as described in the section above.
That’s it!
